What is the dress code for the weekend events?

Welcome Party - Country Club Casual (We suggest your colorful palm beach best - sundresses and golf polos or casual button downs) 

Wedding - Black Tie (Matt and Regan love an excuse to dress up and hope you do too! Gentlemen, join Matt in wearing a tux. Ladies, formal dresses are encouraged - colorful, Florida-inspired fun is welcome)

What should I pack?

Loblolly is a traditional golf club. While the weekend will be laid back, we do ask guests follow country club casual attire throughout the weekend. May in Florida will be warm, so you can leave your layers back up north and bring plenty of sunscreen. Pack bathing suits, activewear and your black tie best for the big event. Please leave your blue jeans at home.

How will I get around during the weekend?

Once you arrive at Loblolly, you will not need transportation throughout the weekend. All houses will have golf carts and bikes to get around the club. 

Outside of transportation to and from the wedding ceremony, transportation will not be provided. If you are looking for flexibility to ‘leave campus’ throughout the weekend, we would recommend renting a car at the airport - particularly given limited ubers around the area.

Where should I eat?

Dinner will be provided Friday and Saturday night.

For breakfast and lunch, you can enjoy the marketplace or clubhouse or venture off campus (see activities page).

There is a Publix grocery store < 5 minutes from the club, for you to stock up at your house and enjoy food at home.

Can I bring a date?

Please check your wedding invitation. If you have a guest invited, their name will be included.

Can I bring my children?

We have decided to make our wedding celebration an adults-only event and due to the special nature of the weekend accommodations at the club, we are also unable to offer housing for children. Please feel free to reach out to us if you have any questions.

Will the welcome party, ceremony, cocktail hour and reception be indoors or outdoors?

The welcome party will be outside (weather permitting).

The ceremony and reception will both be indoors and the cocktail hour will be outside (weather permitting).

Is there transportation to and from the ceremony?

Transportation will be provided from the club to the ceremony at St. Christophers Church.

Will the pro shop be open?

Of course! If there is one thing the O’Donnell’s and MacCunes love, it is overspending on golf merch. We hope you’ll leave with some Loblolly swag.

When is an appropriate time to object to the wedding?

To maximize dramatic effect, the most appropriate time to object is during the ceremony.
